Willie Revillame expresses gratitude to GMA and announces title for his TV5 comeback show

TV host Willie Revillame made a surprising revelation about his decision to leave GMA-7 in 2022. Despite being offered a contract renewal for his show “Wowowin,” Revillame chose to depart from the network.

During a Facebook live session, Revillame expressed his gratitude towards GMA-7 for giving him importance and even providing him with his own studio. However, he mentioned that there comes a time in life when tough decisions need to be made.

Reflecting on his almost seven-year stint with GMA-7, Revillame thanked the network executives for the opportunity to air his popular show. He disclosed that he had a contract renewal with GMA-7 but decided to move forward with a new chapter in his career.

Revillame’s show “Wowowin” transitioned to the Villar-owned network AllTV after leaving GMA-7. He teased his upcoming TV comeback show titled “Wil to Win,” which is set to air on TV5 starting on a Sunday as a family-oriented program before moving to weekdays.

This marks Revillame’s return to TV5, where he previously hosted shows like “Willing Willie” and “Wowowillie” from 2010 to 2013. He encouraged his fans to watch out for the premiere of “Wil to Win” on TV5, promising to bring entertainment to Filipino viewers once again.
