Lola Amour Performs with Coldplay at Philippine Arena
OPM band Lola Amour is still riding high after their remarkable guest appearance at the Coldplay concert held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on Friday.
Taking to social media, the band expressed their disbelief and gratitude for the opportunity to perform with Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of the Grammy-winning band Coldplay, during the encore set of the packed show.
“Still can’t believe this happened! Thank you @coldplay for this once in a lifetime experience,” the band wrote on Instagram on Jan. 20. They also shared a snap of themselves doing a sound check hours before the concert started.
During the concert, Lola Amour performed their hit song “Raining In Manila” with Chris.
Prior to their performance, Chris made an introduction to the song while on the piano, expressing how only one song came to mind when he was driving in the rain. He then sang the intro to “Raining In Manila” before calling the members of Lola Amour to join him on stage, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.
Fans took to social media to express their excitement and happiness for the band, with comments such as: “What a surprise last night! Thank you,” “Deserve!!! Dati sa Mandala Park ko lang kayo napapanuod ng live ngayon sa concert na ng coldplay.” and “I’m so happy for you guys!!! You must be so proud.”
The once-in-a-lifetime experience has left the members of Lola Amour on cloud nine, as they bask in the support and encouragement from their fans after the unforgettable performance with Coldplay.
