Pauleen Luna-Sotto Promotes Breastfeeding and Offers Advice to Mothers

TV host Pauleen Luna-Sotto is now celebrating her sixth month of breastfeeding her second child with Vic Sotto, Mochi.

In an exclusive interview during the recent launch event of footwear brand Mini Melissa, Pauleen shared that despite the six-year age gap between Tali and Mochi, she did not have to start from scratch in caring for a new baby.

“I really wanted to do it. So I’m really excited for this. I didn’t have to figure things out!” she expressed.

Pauleen highlighted the benefits she has observed from breastfeeding Mochi since her birth, noting that the baby is achieving milestones quickly.

“She babbles a lot. We even laugh because she really loves going out. When she’s in casual clothes at home, she gets cranky and really wants to leave! She’s truly happy outside,” Pauleen shared.

Reflecting on her experience with her firstborn, Pauleen expressed regret for not being able to breastfeed Tali due to her premature birth.

“And I didn’t know at that time that you can actually persevere and eventually establish a demand and supply,” she admitted.

Pauleen also shared that during Mochi’s first two weeks, the baby had to be mix-fed due to a drop in weight. However, Mochi is now fully breastfed as she enters her fifth month.

“Just persevere! And please, do not compare yourself to others. Not everyone has the same milk supply, so just do your best, and that’s good enough!” Pauleen advised fellow moms considering breastfeeding their babies.

It is essential for mothers to remember that each breastfeeding journey is unique and to focus on what works best for them and their child.
