Overcoming Pandemic Despair with an Empowering Anthem

Sarah Reeves, an American singer, has opened up about the impact of the pandemic on her mental health and why she took a break from the music industry. Reeves, who has been singing and writing songs for over half her life, experienced depression during the lockdowns and the loss of connection with loved ones.

She began her music career at a young age, becoming a worship leader at her church in Alabama when she was just 15 years old. Her passion for songwriting grew after winning a competition with her first song, “Fly with Jesus.” In an interview, Reeves revealed that she now relies on her iPhone to jot down song titles, interesting phrases, and melodies as voice memos. Aside from her own music, she has also written songs for other artists and had her music featured in various TV shows and films.

However, the pandemic pushed her to take a break and prioritize her mental well-being. After documenting her creative process on Instagram, Reeves released her latest song, “Get Back Your Fight,” which resonated with her fans who praised her for helping them through their own challenges. Despite receiving positive feedback, Reeves has had to deal with online haters, but she has learned to focus on the positive aspects of her life and not let negativity affect her. She emphasizes the importance of self-growth, healing, and kindness towards others.

Reeves is currently working on a new album set to be released in September and has expressed her desire to visit the Philippines and perform for her followers there. “Get Back Your Fight” is the third song she has released this year, following “Jealousy” and “Wanna Be Here,” which was featured in a Hallmark Channel movie.
