Filipina Olympic gymnast Emma Malabuyo continues to make her mark in the world of gymnastics. Just days after securing her spot in the Paris Olympics, Malabuyo emerged victorious at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Uzbekistan. She clinched the gold medal in the floor exercise with a score of 13.300, outshining China’s Chen Xinyi and Aida Bauyrzhanova of Kazakhstan.

Malabuyo’s stellar performance also earned her a bronze medal in the all-around event, solidifying her journey to the Paris Games. With this achievement, she joins a prestigious group of Filipino athletes who will represent the country in the quadrennial meet.

In a noteworthy display of talent, Levi Ruivivar, another Filipino gymnast, secured a bronze medal in the uneven bars event. Despite facing tough competition from China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Ruivivar showcased his skills and landed on the podium.

Malabuyo and Ruivivar’s success at the Asian Championships further highlight the growing presence of Filipino gymnasts on the international stage. Their impressive performances serve as a source of pride and inspiration for aspiring gymnasts in the Philippines.
