Poppert Bernadas, the rising singer who gained fame as part of “Team Sarah” in the 2015 season of “The Voice Philippines,” is set to take the stage in his solo concert titled “Who Put The Pop in Poppert?” on November 11 at the Music Museum.

Directed by Floy Quintos and with Marlon Barnuevo as the musical director, Poppert’s concert promises an unforgettable night filled with music, energy, and charisma that will captivate the audience. Poppert, during a press conference at Five Private Dining in Greenhills, San Juan City, revealed that the concert will feature all hits, including songs from Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, and George Michael. He expressed his excitement about performing these songs, as they make up eighty percent of his repertoire for the first time.

Poppert’s talent caught the attention of OPM icon Ogie Alcasid, who currently manages him under the Alcasid Total Entertainment Artist Management. Ogie shared that he was impressed by Poppert’s powerful voice during a rehearsal and noticed his hard work during the pandemic as he earned a substantial fanbase on the online platform Kumu. Ogie reached out to Poppert and offered him a place on the A Team. He has been managing Poppert for more than two years and is proud of his talents across various genres of music, including songwriting.

Poppert has also dabbled in acting, appearing in television series such as “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” and “Starla.” He recently finished filming “How To Move On in 30 Days” and “The Goodbye Girl.”

Poppert expressed his gratitude for the support and generosity of Ogie’s wife, Regine Velasquez, who offered to collaborate with him on a new song after his schedule clashed with another artist. The rising singer called the power couple “generous” and appreciated their contributions to his career.

Ogie shared his management strategy for Poppert, emphasizing the importance of focusing on his talents as a singer, songwriter, and concert artist. He expressed his desire for Poppert to establish himself in these areas and hopes to release more songs for him in the future. Ogie believes that Poppert’s talent is unique and sees many avenues for his success, including theater, concerts, and recordings.

In addition to managing Poppert, Ogie’s company also represents Lara Maigue. The OPM icon plans to recruit more artists in the future, with the aim of helping talented individuals who don’t have access to managers and networks.

Poppert’s concert is expected to be a milestone in his career, showcasing his vocal prowess and versatile talents to a wider audience.
