Shift from “BN Teller” to “Self-Service” for walk-in clients starting 1 August 2023.
In a meeting with DTI Secretary Alfredo Pascual, the Business Name Registration Division (BNRD) together with Digital Philippines Assistant Secretary Mary Jean Pacheco, Management Service Group (MSG) Undersecretary Ireneo Vizmonte and Chief-of-Staff Undersecretary Carol Sanchez presented its recommendation to shift the DTI business name registration services to encourage 100% applicants to directly apply, withdrawing all BN Teller Services for walk-in clients to allow BN processors to spend time in Business Counseling and other tasks. BN Processors shall no longer input details of client’s application, and will just assist the applicant when requested. All Negosyo Centers and DTI Offices shall provide internet connection and computers for free use by BN applicants.
Several projects were likewise presented by the BNRD and okayed by Secretary Pascual for implementation.
