Bulacan: 21 Drug Peddlers, 6 Others Apprehended; P325K Worth of Illegal Drugs Confiscated



Police Arrest 21 Drug Peddlers, 5 Wanted Criminals, and Firearms Violator in Bulacan Operations

In a series of operations conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 10 and 11, the Bulacan Police arrested 21 drug peddlers, 5 individuals with outstanding warrants, and a violator of the election ban on firearms.

The police reports indicate that on Oct. 11, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of various police stations including San Jose Del Monte, San Miguel, Bocaue, Guiguinto, Plaridel, Baliuag, Obando, and Norzagaray conducted buy-bust operations. As a result, 16 drug suspects were apprehended and seized from them were 48 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated value of P135,237 ($2,624), six large plastic sachets filled with suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P20,400 ($398), assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

In another operation, the SDEU of the Malolos City Police Station successfully arrested five individuals involved in the sale of illegal drugs on Oct. 10. The police confiscated six plastic sachets believed to be shabu, weighing approximately 25 grams and valued at around P170,000 ($3,320), as well as assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

Furthermore, the tracker team of the San Jose Del Monte, Bocaue, Hagonoy, and Bulakan police units captured five wanted individuals. The apprehended suspects were identified as Mariano Restituto, wanted for Act of Lasciviousness; Rodrigo Dela Cruz, wanted for violation of Republic Act No. 9262 on Violence against Women and Children; Rosalina Santos, wanted for violation of Batas Pambansa on bouncing checks; Jason Serrano, wanted for Qualified Rape and Lascivious Conduct; and Catheryn Yosolon, wanted for violation of the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 or RA 9003.

Additionally, a violator of the current gun ban was arrested in Brgy. Malibo Matanda, Pandi, Bulacan on Oct. 10, after a concerned citizen reported a commotion caused by an armed suspect in the area. The police recovered a caliber 38 revolver without a serial number and nine rounds of live ammunition.

The suspect will face charges for Grave Threats in relation to RA 7610, Violations of RA 10591 (Illegal possession of Firearm and Ammunition), and the Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban).

All arrested individuals and seized evidence were brought into custody, and the cases will proceed to the appropriate courts for further investigation and legal action.
