A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck the waters off Batanes on Tuesday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). The epicenter of the earthquake was west of Sabtang, Batanes, with Intensity IV felt in Sabtang and Intensity III felt in several other areas in Batanes. Phivolcs assured that there were no damages expected from the earthquake, but aftershocks may occur.
