Actor Rob Gomez has garnered support from colleagues and fans after making a public effort to reconcile with his estranged partner Shaila Rebortera. The couple had recently experienced difficulties, with Shaila leaving their home along with their infant daughter, Amelia.
Rob Gomez took to Instagram over the weekend to share a photo of himself and Shaila, expressing his deep love for them both. He acknowledged the challenges of distance and vowed to not let them go. The post quickly gained over 9,000 likes, with fellow actors such as David Licauco, Gil Cuerva, and Herlene Budol showing their support.
The troubles between Rob and Shaila began when Rob hinted on the show “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” that he was single. This led Shaila to take to social media shortly after, revealing that they were still together and had a daughter.
However, the situation took a turn when Shaila posted photos of her bruised arms, indicating potential abuse. She stated that she had suffered in silence for over a year and was relieved to finally speak the truth. Not long after sharing the pictures, Rob’s mother allegedly asked Shaila to apologize in exchange for being able to stay with the family. Ultimately, Shaila decided to leave.
