Looking for the locations of the new coin deposit machines by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)? If you have a collection of coins that you’d like to convert into digital cash or SM gift vouchers, you’re in luck. Here’s a preliminary rundown of places where you can initiate this process:

You now have the convenient option of depositing your loose coins directly into your e-wallet using the recently introduced coin deposit machines from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Since the project’s launch last June, there are currently ten coin deposit machines strategically positioned throughout Metro Manila. Seeking the machine nearest to your location? Check out this list:

  1. SM City Fairview – Ground floor, The SM Store Customer Service
  2. SM City North EDSA – Upper ground floor, near Boys Teen Wear
  3. SM City San Lazaro – Ground floor, The SM Store Customer Service
  4. SM Mall of Asia – Ground floor, The SM Store
  5. SM Mall of Asia – Ground floor, SM Hypermarket
  6. SM City Bicutan – Upper ground floor, Curex counter
  7. SM City Bacoor – Upper ground floor, The SM Store Customer Service

In the near future, BSP plans to deploy an additional 25 coin deposit machines across SM Stores, Robinsons Supermarkets, and Festival Malls throughout the Greater Manila Area.

Currently, users have the flexibility to either allocate the value of their deposited coins to their GCash e-wallet or opt for SM shopping vouchers. Additionally, the central bank is engaged in discussions with Maya to introduce a coin deposit feature for Maya wallet users.

The coin deposit machines have already achieved notable success, with over P18.8 million worth of coins accepted as of July 31. Impressively, the vast majority – 98% – of these deposits were made in the form of e-wallet transactions, as shared by BSP’s Deputy General for Regional Operations and Advocacy, Bernadette Romulo​​-Puyat​.
