Parts of Zambales to experience 2-hour power outage

Parts of Zambales are set to experience a two-hour power outage on Thursday afternoon, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). The power interruption is due to a deficiency in the power supply in the Luzon grid.

The NGCP announced that a manual load dropping may be implemented from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., affecting areas such as Subic, Castillejos, San Marcelino, parts of San Antonio (Angeles and San Esteban), and parts of San Narcisio (Simminublan, Namatacan, and Dalipawen).

This rotational power interruption is necessary due to the limited supply of electricity caused by high demand. The NGCP stated that the schedule may be canceled if the system improves and actual demand falls below projections.
