CAAP Signs MOA with PUP

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) on Tuesday, March 14, to help the Authority enhance its training programs and advocate for CAAP employees.

The MOA signing ceremony marks the official partnership between the two organizations, where PUP will be extending its professional services and allow CAAP to utilize and benefit from its expertise in psychology through training programs.

Spearheaded by the PUP PhD and MA Psychology program, this mutually beneficial partnership will not only help promote the university’s programs but will also serve as a step towards improving the quality of the workplace at CAAP and by extension, the quality of life of its employees.

Representing CAAP were Director General Captain Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo, Deputy Director General for Operations Captain Edgardo G. Diaz, Deputy Director General for Administration Atty. Danjun G. Lucas, and Assistant Director General (ADG) for Enforcement and Legal Service Chief Atty. Roberto Martin S. Buenaventura.

Meanwhile, PUP was represented by Graduate School Dean Dr. Elmer G. De Jose, PhD, MAP Psychology Programs Chairperson Dr. Pricila B. Marzan, and Mr. John Mark Distor.

PUP VP for Research, Extension, Planning, and Development Dr. Anna Ruby P. Gapasin also expressed her gratitude to the CAAP Management through a video message.

The MOA signing ceremony demonstrates the collaboration between CAAP and PUP as the Authority is currently preparing and undergoing Reorganization in accordance with Governance Commission (GCG) Memorandum Circular (MC) 2015-04. Part of its implementation is to provide Change Management Trainings (CMTs) to CAAP’s leaders and individual contributors.

The PUP, being one of the country’s highly competent educational institutions, shall provide resource persons for facilitating CMTs, Mental Health Seminars, and other learning and development programs.

Chief Executive Officer V and Head Executive Assistant Ms. Maria Antonia H. Llamzon, ADG for Air Traffic Service and Human Resources Management Division (HRMD) Chief Ms. Amneris G. Gabriel, ADG for Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) Ms. Diane Ines Briñas, and HRM Officer Mr. Wilmar Jones Montero also attended the MOA signing ceremony.
