‘My Puhunan’ Showcases Budget-Friendly Dishes from ‘Violy Bee’

Affordable Breakfast Diner “Violy Bee” Takes the Spotlight on “My Puhunan”

In the bustling world of fast food chains, a small breakfast diner called “Violy Bee” is making its mark by offering affordable meals priced from P7 to P28. This Saturday (Sept. 30), Migs Bustos will introduce viewers to the owners of “Violy Bee,” the senior citizen couple Violy and Melvin Palma, on an episode of “My Puhunan.”

Nanay Violy and Tatay Melvin have captured the hearts of their customers with their budget-friendly fried rice and viands accompanied by unlimited soup. The couple started their business in 2007, setting up shop in front of their home in Novaliches, Quezon City. Through the success of “Violy Bee,” they were able to build a new home and provide financial support for their family.

Karen Davila will also shine a spotlight on Eman Ramos, a former delivery rider who now runs his own food cart business selling pares (braised beef stew) and mami (noodle soup). During the height of the pandemic, pares and mami became a “survival food” for many Filipinos, inspiring Eman to turn it into a business. With a P3,000 investment aid from the government, Eman and his wife Mela started selling their products at a food cart in 2021, naming it “Melaman” after their combination of names. Today, “Melaman” has found a permanent spot in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Through their hard work and perseverance, Eman and Mela were able to purchase a secondhand car, allowing them to quickly transport their child, who has a condition called alpha thalassemia, to the hospital.

Tune in to “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” with Karen Davila and Migs Bustos every Saturday at 5:00 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, news.abs-cbn.com/live, and other ABS-CBN News online platforms to hear these inspiring stories of entrepreneurial success.
