Singer Moira Dela Torre Makes History with Two Billion Spotify Streams

MANILA, Philippines — Singer Moira Dela Torre has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first solo artist and Filipina singer to reach two billion streams on Spotify.

This accomplishment solidifies Moira’s position as the most-streamed soloist on Spotify, trailing only behind folk-pop band Ben&Ben among Filipino artists overall.

Moira took to her social media accounts to share the news and express her gratitude to her fans, saying, “Thank you. TWO BILLION TIMES THANK YOU.”

Several personalities, including Ogie Alcasid, KC Concepcion, Marjorie Barretto, Jhong Hilario, Kiana Valenciano, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, and Ben&Ben’s Andrew de Pano, congratulated her on this achievement.

Currently on the United States leg of her 2024 world tour, Moira is set to perform in cities across Canada in the near future.

For the past six years, Moira has been the most streamed female artist in the local music scene on Spotify, with an average of 3.5 million monthly listeners. She was also a nominee at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Moira is known for her hit songs such as “Tagpuan,” “Malaya,” “Patawad,” “Hanggang sa Huli,” “Paubaya,” “Patawad, Paalam” with I BelongTo The Zoo, “Paalam” and “Pasalubong” with Ben&Ben, and “Ikaw at Sila.”

This achievement further solidifies Moira Dela Torre’s status as a powerhouse in the music industry.
