Ateneo Lady Eagles alumni Maddie Madayag and Bea de Leon will not be playing on the same side of the volleyball court for the first time in years as de Leon joins the Creamline Cool Smashers for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League season. Madayag expressed her delight at de Leon’s new team, saying, “I’ve been with Bea since my first year. We were really together. But we’re happy that she found a new home with Creamline.” Despite the excitement, Madayag acknowledged that it would feel different playing against de Leon in the upcoming season, as they have spent their entire careers as teammates. De Leon and libero Denden Lazaro-Revilla are set to join former Ateneo teammates Alyssa Valdez and Ella de Jesus at Creamline, and the team will be aiming for their eighth PVL title in the upcoming season.
