Kim Ji Soo from K-drama joins GMA’s ‘Black Rider’ Cast



South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo has joined the cast of the GMA Network’s action drama “Black Rider,” led by Ruru Madrid.

The Kapuso Network announced the collaboration on Instagram, introducing the “oppa” known for his roles in popular K-dramas. In the series, Ji Soo will be seen flexing his handgun skills with Yassi Pressman’s character and facing off against the antagonists played by Jon Lucas.

Ji Soo reposted teaser graphics of the upcoming project on his personal Instagram account, generating excitement among fans and viewers. Details about his role in the series remain under wraps.

Nessa Valdellon, GMA Public Affairs vice president, hinted at Ji Soo’s character, Adrian Park, in the finale of “Black Rider.” The actor will portray a half-Filipino, half-Korean fighter who teaches gunfighting techniques to Yassi’s character. Valdellon also teased a potential romantic rivalry in the series.

Ji Soo’s foray into Philippine showbiz is being managed by Universal Records Philippines’ Kathleen Dy-Go, who sees great potential for the actor in the local entertainment industry. Dy-Go expressed excitement about introducing Ji Soo’s talent to the Philippine audience and hinted at more projects for him in the future.

“Black Rider,” a primetime series focusing on heroism, revenge, justice, and family, has garnered acclaim for its dramatic storytelling. With Ji Soo’s addition to the cast, the show promises to deliver more intense and gripping episodes under the direction of Erwin Tagle, Rommel Penesa, and Richard Arellano.
