Joshua set to face Dubois for IBF title left vacant by Usyk

In a highly anticipated match-up, Anthony Joshua is set to face Daniel Dubois for the IBF world heavyweight title on September 21 in London. This comes after Oleksandr Usyk announced his decision to vacate the belt, as he is gearing up for a rematch against Tyson Fury in December.

Usyk, who recently became the first heavyweight to hold the IBF, WBO, WBA, and WBC belts, had expressed his desire not to be stripped of the IBF title so he could still hold it for his upcoming fight with Fury. This paved the way for Joshua and Dubois to battle it out for the prestigious title.

Joshua, a two-time world champion with 28 victories and three losses, expressed his focus on the upcoming fight, stating, “I’ve been having Dubois on my mind for a while. He’ll be on my mind for the next 12 weeks until I’ve got my hand raised.” Meanwhile, Dubois is determined to dethrone Joshua and become the new heavyweight king.

The age gap between the two fighters doesn’t seem to faze Joshua, who emphasized the importance of staying disciplined and focused on his training. Dubois, on the other hand, is ready to let his fists do the talking and is fully prepared to take on the challenge.

The stage is set for an epic showdown between two British heavyweights as they vie for the IBF world title in what promises to be a thrilling fight for boxing fans everywhere.
