HORI7ON’s Kyler Chua to Star in Lee Seung-chul’s Music Video with “Miracle in Cell No. 7” Star Kal So-won
Kyler Chua of HORI7ON will be collaborating with “Miracle in Cell No. 7” star Kal So-won in the music video for the song “It’s Rainy Day,” performed by South Korean veteran singer Lee Seung-chul. This casting news was confirmed by MLD Entertainment, Chua’s label, where he will be displaying his acting skills alongside Kal in this modern rock track.
MLD Entertainment released a statement saying, “HORI7ON member Kyler and actress Kal So-won will appear in the music video for Lee Seung Chul’s new song ‘It’s Rainy Day.’ Please look forward to the synergy of the two with their romantic acting.”
A teaser of the music video was shared by Lee on Instagram featuring Chua and Kal in school uniforms, riding a bike, seeking shelter in a storm, and sharing longing looks on a bus ride. “It’s Rainy Day” serves as a promotional single for Lee’s 13th album and 40th anniversary special album, with the music video set to be released on June 11.
Kyler Chua’s membership in HORI7ON was confirmed after his appearance on the survival show “Dream Maker” in February 2023, ranking third. The all-Filipino global pop group made their debut in July 2023 with the album “Friend-Ship,” consisting of members Jeromy Batac, Marcus Cabais, Vinci Malizon, Reyster Yton, Kim Ng, and Winston Pineda.
On the other hand, Kal gained prominence for her role as Lee Ye-sung in the acclaimed drama film “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” which also spawned a Filipino adaptation in 2019.
