Gcash awarded as the top mobile wallet for 2024 in financial intelligence publication

Fintech app Gcash has been awarded the title of “Best Mobile Wallet for 2024” by financial intelligence journal Pan Finance. The app’s holding company, Mynt, has also been recognized as a leader in mobile financial services, focusing on accelerating financial inclusion through mobile money, financial services, and technology.

Pan Finance featured Gcash in its first quarter 2024 magazine, along with tech-based lending company Fuse, which provides users with access to personal and business loans.

GCash’s president and chief executive officer, Martha Sazon, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “We at GCash are thankful for this recognition. This highlights GCash’s transformative role in the Philippines’ journey from financial inclusion to financial progress.”

In a recent statement, Gcash mentioned that the timing of its initial public offering or IPO will be contingent on favorable market conditions. In 2021, the fintech platform was valued at over $2 billion and boasted a user base of 81 million as of May 2023.
