DTI and DOLE collaborate to enhance digital skills

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) are collaborating to enhance the digital skills of the Philippine workforce. Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual and DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma recently discussed initiatives to provide digital training and development opportunities for workers. This includes transforming Negosyo Centers into digital learning hubs to equip Filipinos with the necessary skills to succeed in the global market. The partnership also aims to promote job creation and sustainability for micro, small, and medium enterprises through various business services. This initiative, supported by the International Labor Organization, focuses on creating innovative and sustainable employment opportunities for Filipinos. By advancing the digital skills of Filipino workers, the government hopes to contribute significantly to the nation’s economic growth.
