Scheduled power outages in certain areas of Metro Manila and surrounding provinces on June 15-16



Several areas across Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cavite are set to experience scheduled power interruptions this weekend as Meralco carries out maintenance and infrastructure improvement work. In an advisory posted on their website, Meralco listed the following outages scheduled from June 15 to June 16.

On June 15, portions of Makati City’s Poblacion area will experience a power interruption from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This includes Gen. Luna St. and surrounding streets for installation and replacement of facilities and line reconstruction works.

In Cavite, specifically in Gen. Trias City, Tanza, and Noveleta, there will be outages from 11:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on June 15 and from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on June 16. Other areas in Cavite will also experience power interruptions for installation, replacement of facilities, line reconstruction, and reconductoring works.

Laguna’s Cabuyao City and Calamba City are also included in the schedule. Power interruptions are set for installation and replacement of poles, line reconductoring works, and preventive maintenance and testing works in various areas.

Quezon City, Pasay City, and Manila are not exempt from the scheduled power outages. Residents in these areas should prepare for interruptions due to line reconstruction works and replacement of poles.

Meralco advises all affected customers to make necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled power interruptions.
