Parents of NewJeans Express Disappointment Towards K-Pop Giant HYBE

The parents of the female quintet NewJeans have spoken out against K-pop giant HYBE, accusing the company of mistreating the girl group and damaging their name value. According to a letter obtained by Korean media, the parents expressed their concerns about similarities in concept, styling, and choreography between NewJeans and another group under HYBE’s label.

The letter, which was forwarded by ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin to HYBE, called out the company for intentional imitation and planning a team reminiscent of NewJeans within a short period after their debut. HYBE has denied the allegations of neglect and plagiarism, stating that they are one-sided and untrue.

The ongoing feud between HYBE and ADOR has raised questions about the similarities between NewJeans and another group under HYBE. The parents of NewJeans raised concerns about the impact of these controversies on the group’s reputation and brand value.

Furthermore, the letter addressed HYBE chairperson Bang Si-hyuk’s alleged disregard for the members of NewJeans and their disappointment at being promised to be HYBE’s first girl group, only for the title to go to another group. The parents expressed concerns about how HYBE will treat NewJeans in the future and what they may imitate next.

The feud between HYBE and ADOR continues to unfold, with NewJeans’ parents calling for the protection of their daughter’s brand value and reputation.
