Letran Knights name Ricardo as interim head coach
MANILA, Philippines — Allen Ricardo has been named as the Letran Knights’ interim head coach, the school announced Friday.
Ricardo is also handling the Letran Squires in the NCAA juniors ranks.
“We announce the appointment of Coach Allen Ricardo as the interim coach of the Letran Knights Basketball Team. Arriba Letran!” the college said in a Facebook post.
The coach will be filling in for Rensy Bajar, who coached the team in the NCAA Season 99.
The Bajar-coached squad won just two games in the previous basketball season against 16 losses.
Ricardo earlier led the Squires to the championship back in NCAA Season 98.
His appointment came a few days after Chris Hubilla decommitted from UP in the UAAP and committed to the Knights.
