Several domestic flights have been canceled on Friday due to bad weather, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

In an advisory, the MIAA announced that a number of CebGo flights to and from Busuanga, Coron, Palawan have been grounded because of unfavorable weather conditions. The State weather bureau PAGASA attributed this to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Specifically, the canceled flights as of 1:30 p.m. on Friday are:

  • CebGo (DG)
    • DG 6043 – Manila-Busuanga
    • DG 6044 – Busuanga to Manila

Additionally, the MIAA Airport Ground Operations and Safety Division (AGOSD) issued a Lightning Red Alert at 2:20 p.m., temporarily suspending flight and ground operations.
