Lone Bettor Wins P8.9 Million Mega Lotto Jackpot in Catarman, Northern Samar
On September 2, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that a single bettor from Catarman, Northern Samar has won the impressive P8.9 million Mega Lotto 6/45 jackpot.
The lucky winner correctly guessed the winning numbers, which were 30-42-39-12-35-18, during the September 1 evening draw. Their achievement is now being celebrated throughout the local community.
However, it’s important to note that according to the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, prizes amounting to P10,000 and above are subject to a 20 percent tax deduction.
In the event that the jackpot prize remains unclaimed, it will be forfeited and added to the PCSO Charity Fund, as stated in the Republic Act (RA 1169), also known as the PCSO Charter.
The next Mega Lotto draw is scheduled for September 4, giving hopeful players another chance to win big.
