Anne Curtis to Star in Filipino Remake of Hit K-Drama
Actress Anne Curtis is set to take on the role of Emilia “Mia” Hernandez in the Philippine adaptation of the popular K-drama series, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” Curtis expressed her excitement for the project, citing her love for the original series and the character she will be portraying.

Joining Curtis in the remake are Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino, who will play the local counterparts of Kim Soo-hyun and Oh Jung-se’s characters, respectively. The adaptation marks Curtis’ return to television after a 10-year hiatus since her last TV project, “Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel.”

Curtis shared her admiration for the way the original series tackled mental health, with her character having an antisocial personality disorder. She hopes that the Filipino adaptation will help raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The actress also mentioned how she resonated with the growth of the character she will be portraying, drawing parallels to her own journey of self-discovery. Garcia and Aquino expressed their excitement to work alongside Curtis in the series, highlighting the honor of collaborating with the actress once again.
