VSPC bikers eager to conquer new peaks



MANILA, Philippines — The Victoria Sports Pro Cycling (VSPC) team has revealed its new lineup as they prepare to compete in upcoming international races, starting with the Tour de Taiwan next week.

Led by team leader Carlos Francisco Ochoa, VSPC aims to build on the success of their debut year by achieving strong finishes in races abroad.

The team, which consists of Filipino, European, and Latin cyclists, has appointed former Movistar Team standout Hector Carretero as their new sports director. El Joshua Cariño, a former Le Tour de Filipinas champion, will serve as one of the assistant sports directors.

Other notable members of the team include Marcelo Felipe, Alexis Pagara, Ismael Grospe Jr., Landerson Nebres, Edson Corbadora, Miguel Andrei Obmerga, Kenneth Maramba, and Nichol Pareja, the winner of the individual time trial (ITT) event at this year’s PhilCycling National Championships for Road.

To strengthen their roster, VSPC has added Olympian Nicolas Sessler from Brazil, Edgar Nieto of Spain, and Jeroen Meijers of the Netherlands.

The team is gearing up for a competitive season ahead and is looking forward to representing the Philippines on the international stage.
