Two young golfers, Patrick Tambalque and Dominique Gotiong, showcased their skills in the final round of the ICTSI Junior Philippine Golf Tour Visayas Series in Murcia, Binitin. Gotiong dominated the girls’ division, maintaining a strong lead throughout the tournament, while Tambalque faced tough competition in the boys’ class. Despite the challenges, Tambalque managed to secure a six-stroke victory with a gritty even-par 70, finishing with a total score of seven-over 287 at the Bacolod Golf and Country Club.
In the girls’ division, Gotiong made a successful debut with a total score of 331, finishing 18 strokes ahead of Rhiena Sinfuego who ended with a total score of 349. Breanna Rojas secured the third spot with a total score of 400 after shooting a 99. Tambalque, a 16-year-old golfer, expressed satisfaction with his performance, highlighting the unexpected birdies he made during the tournament. Overall, both young golfers showed promising talent and determination in their respective categories.
