Partido Federal forms partnership with National Unity Party

In a recent event held at the Manila Golf and Country Club in Makati City, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) chaired by President Marcos, sealed an alliance with the National Unity Party (NUP). The alliance, named Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, was emphasized by President Marcos as more than just a “marriage of convenience.”

President Marcos stated that the coalition between PFP and NUP is built on unity as an ideology, not just a strategy to win the next election. He reiterated their shared ideals of transforming the Philippines into a better place and working together with a common purpose.

Representatives from PFP included Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo, Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos, and PFP president South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. On the NUP side, the chairman Ronaldo Puno, NUP president Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte Jr., and Bataan Rep. Albert Garcia were present.

This alliance marks the third political party to collaborate with PFP since May, following partnerships with Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) and the Nationalist People’s Coalition in preparation for the 2025 midterm elections. It aims to unite behind the goal of transforming the Philippines for the better through unity and shared beliefs in their ideology.
