NU aims to secure a spot in the finals – without delay.

In an unexpected turn of events, the National U Lady Bulldogs clinched the No. 1 seed in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball Final Four. The team, which initially trailed La Salle and Santo Tomas, managed to secure the top spot with a record of 12-2.

Their next challenge comes in the form of a match against the fourth-ranked Far Eastern U, scheduled for today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. With a seven-game winning streak in the second round, the Lady Bulldogs are riding high on momentum and have a win-once bonus in their favor.

Coach Norman Miguel emphasized the importance of not underestimating their opponents, despite the advantages they may have. Leading scorer Bella Belen echoed this sentiment, noting that they should not rely on their twice-to-beat advantage and need to give their all in the upcoming game.

Although NU swept FEU in their previous encounters, they are wary of potential surprises that their opponents may have in store. With the goal of making the most out of their Final Four return after missing the cut in the past two seasons, the Lady Bulldogs are focused on securing a spot in the finals.
