Former UFC fighter Taylor Wily, beloved star of ‘Hawaii Five-0’, passes away



Los Angeles – The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of actor Taylor Wily, known for his roles as Kamekona Tupuola on both “Hawaii Five-0” and “Magnum P.I.” at the age of 56. Wily, a former sumo wrestler turned actor, passed away, confirmed by “Hawaii Five-0” executive producer Peter M. Lenkov.

Lenkov expressed his devastation over the loss of Wily, describing him as a special and talented actor. Wily’s friend and collaborator, Lenkov, had plans to work with the actor on future projects, highlighting his skills and charm.

Wily gained popularity for his role as Kamekona on “Hawaii Five-0” and continued in the same role for the reboot of “Magnum P.I.” Before his acting career, Wily was a well-known sumo wrestler and UFC fighter.

Survived by his wife, Halona, and their two children, Wily leaves behind a legacy in the entertainment industry. The cause of his death remains unknown, leaving fans and colleagues mourning his untimely passing.
