Capital1 brings excitement to PVL with additional players

A new wave of excitement is set to hit Philippine volleyball as Capital1 Solar Energy gears up for the upcoming 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference. The team has secured the services of Russian outside hitter Marina Tushova, along with four skilled local players.

Team owners Mandy and Milka Romero expressed their enthusiasm in welcoming Tushova to the Solar Spikers, highlighting her fiery playing style which they believe will greatly benefit the team and contribute to the growing popularity of the sport.

In addition to Tushova, the Romero sisters are also looking forward to the talent that the inaugural 2024 PVL Draft on July 8 will bring, as they hold the No. 2 pick. While their top pick remains undisclosed, coach Roger Gorayeb is eyeing a player who can seamlessly adapt to the team’s system.

Tushova, who previously played for Sparta Nizhny Novgorod in Russia and had stints in France and Switzerland, arrived in the Philippines on June 10 and is already enjoying the warm Filipino hospitality.

With the addition of Tushova and the upcoming draft, Capital1 Solar Energy aims to strengthen their lineup and make a strong push for the championship title in the upcoming conference.
