Six people confirmed dead in Cebu boat fire incident



Death toll in Cebu boat fire climbs to 6

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that the death toll from the boat fire off Naga City in Cebu has risen to six, up from the initial two casualties.

According to the PCG, out of the 12 crew members aboard FBCA King Bryan, six managed to survive while the bodies of the others were recovered.

One of the survivors is still in critical condition due to third-degree burns sustained during the incident.

The fire broke out on FBCA King Bryan at 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday, approximately 1.5 nautical miles east of the city.
