Retail expo focuses on artificial intelligence and sustainability practices



The intersection of sustainability and artificial intelligence (AI) will be explored at the 30th National Retail Conference and Expo (NRCE) presented by the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA). The event, set to take place on Aug. 29-30 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, aims to showcase how the combination of sustainability and AI can revolutionize the retail landscape.

Fredy Ong, chairman and CEO of Unilever Philippines, will be a key speaker at the conference, sharing insights on how the multinational company is integrating sustainability into its business approach. Attendees will learn how sustainability progress is crucial for business performance and growth.

In addition to sustainability, the conference will also focus on the potential of AI in retail operations. Sherwin Pelayo, executive director of the Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines, will lead a session on “Applying AI to Retail,” where he will demonstrate practical applications of AI in the retail sector.

With a theme of “Retail today, Empowering Tomorrow,” the 30th NRCE aims to provide attendees with valuable insights on how to navigate a sustainable and technologically advanced future. Those interested can register for the event on the NRCE website.
