Filipino Drag Queen Earns Spot in “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World” Finals

Marina Summers, a Filipino drag queen, has secured a place as one of the Top 4 finalists in the upcoming finals of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World.” Her victory came after impressing judges with her wit during the comedy roast challenge and stunning in the “Take Me Up The Aisle” runway category, where she showcased a traditional wedding attire of the Yakan, an ethnic group in Mindanao, designed by Erich Miñoza.

In a statement, Marina expressed her honor and gratitude for being able to represent the Philippines on an international platform like “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” She emphasized the importance of showcasing the diversity of the country’s ethnic groups and regions.

Celebrating her win, Marina took to Instagram to share her excitement and gratitude.

Other finalists competing alongside Marina include Tia Kofi, Hannah Conda, and La Grande Dame. Marina is notably the first Filipina drag performer to represent the Philippines in an international edition of the popular franchise. Her rise to fame began after finishing as a runner-up in the first season of “Drag Race Philippines” in October 2022.

As Marina gears up for the finals, fans are eagerly anticipating her performance on the global stage of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World.”
