Five undocumented foreigners in Zamboanga face deportation

Immigration starts deportation proceedings against 5 foreigners who entered Zamboanga City illegally

Immigration authorities have initiated deportation proceedings against four Indian nationals and a Malaysian who were intercepted at the port of Zamboanga City. The five foreigners entered the city without the necessary documents, according to Captain Larry Cendaña of the Philippine Coast Guard-Zamboanga.

They allegedly entered the city illegally from Malaysia, using a speedboat to reach the Philippines via Tawi-Tawi. The group then boarded a commercial vessel, MV Trisha Kerstin, to enter Zamboanga City. The individuals involved were identified as Chohan Jagit, Lakhwinder Singh Brar, Parwinder Singh, Sukhraj Singh Dubb, and Bryan Joel Ng from Malaysia.

Investigations revealed that the Indian nationals had been blacklisted from entering the country due to previous illegal entries without passports and fake visas. While they claim to have valid reasons for their visit, authorities are further investigating the matter.

One of the individuals, Ng, stated that he was escorting a Filipina who had been rescued from online trafficking. However, further verification is needed to confirm these claims. The Immigration officials were alerted by the crew members of Aleson Shipping about the presence of these foreigners in the city.
