Kapuso leading man Alden Richards has been confirmed as the host for the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines coronation show, marking his return for the second consecutive year in the national competition.
The national pageant organization made the announcement on social media, revealing that Richards will be hosting the finals on May 22, 2024, at the SM MOA Arena. Last year, he shared hosting duties with Xian Lim and 2019 Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi.
This year, Richards will be joined by 2022 Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel, as well as Filipino drag superstar Marina Summers and pop band Lola Amour as guest performers.
Despite a slight blunder during last year’s competition, where he mistakenly announced the wrong Miss Congeniality, Richards is set to lead the proceedings for 53 contestants vying for the title. The winner will represent the Philippines at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico later this year.
With preparations underway for the highly-anticipated event, fans are eagerly awaiting the coronation show to see who will emerge as the next Miss Universe Philippines.
