Where Does the Values Formation Enter into our HR Processes

DSWD FO X Chief Administrative Officer, Bellene H. Ahmad, raised this question on the first day of the agency’s HR Committee Conference 2022 at Chali Beach Resort.

Underscored by the speaker, Atty. Cosette M. Mundo, Director II of the Civil Service Commission Misamis Oriental, the field office may design and implement learning and development initiatives that hone the core values a public servant should have.

As the DSWD FO X aims for PRIME-HRM Maturity Level III in 2022, CAO Ahmad highlighted those improvements in HR management should go beyond the limitations of procedural mechanisms.

Six personnel from across FO X also tackled various HR systems and processes. One of the speakers, head of the Learning and Development Unit, Mary Christine Z. Leyva, expressed her confidence in the new generation of HR personnel.

“I’m confident that with our competent set of HR personnel and the guidance of our in-house committees, adapting Maturity Level III is attainable while implementing values formation initiatives. At the end of the day, we are developing our systems for the people where empathy, accountability, and integrity are of utmost importance,” Ms. Leyva said.
