Typhoon Aghon moves over coastal waters of Burdeos, Quezon

A typhoon rapidly intensified and arrived over the coastal waters of Burdeos, Quezon, as reported by the state weather bureau. The typhoon, named Aghon internationally and Ewiniar locally, had maximum winds of 120 km/h and gusts of up to 180 km/h. It made multiple landfalls in various parts of Luzon over the weekend, with Polillo Islands under Signal No. 3. Different areas were placed under Signal No. 2 and Signal No. 1 for precautionary measures. Aghon is expected to intensify further over the next two days before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
