The Securities and Exchange Commission Zamboanga Extension Office (SEC ZEO) formally signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IX (DSWD FO IX) to be a SEC Campaign Network Partner last October 19, 2022 at the DSWD FO IX Office.
The partnership, which seeks to expand the SEC Communication, Advocacy and Network, or the SEC CAN! Project, was signed by SEC Zamboanga Director Jesus Salvador A. Uro and DSWD FO IX Regional Director Riduan P. Hadjimuddin. Also present in the event were the DSWD ARD for Administration Maria Corazon Sumicad, ARD for Operation Salmah Basher, DSWD Standards Division Staff, Securities Investigator Belinda B. Ballaho, and the SEC Zamboanga Employees.
Director Uro thanked the DSWD FO IX for warmly accepting the proposed partnership.
“By collaborating with NGAs and private institutions, the Commission hopes to promote financial literacy and educate the investors on illegal investment activities,” Director Uro said.
