Rho impresses with ace on Masters opening round 67

In a thrilling display of talent, Hyun Ho Rho showcased his skills on the golf course by outgunning Ryan Monsalve in the first round of the ICTSI Philippine Masters at the Villamor Golf Club. Rho’s impressive five-under 67 performance included a hole-in-one on the 195-yard No. 4 hole, along with three birdies. Monsalve, on the other hand, also had a strong showing with a score of 68, putting himself in contention early in the championship. Both players displayed their prowess in the scorching conditions, setting the stage for an exciting tournament ahead.

Rho, who recently tied for 15th at Apo and struggled in the previous legs of the PGT, described his round as solid despite some missed opportunities for birdies. The young golfer expressed his excitement over his first ace in a professional tournament, earning himself a cash prize from the organizers. Meanwhile, Aidric Chan finished with a score of 69, securing third place in the competition among seasoned campaigners like Lloyd Go and Guido van der Valk, who also put up strong performances with scores of 71.

As the players head into the next rounds of the championship, all eyes will be on Rho, Monsalve, and the other contenders as they battle it out for the title in the prestigious tournament sponsored by ICTSI.
