PNP Chief Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr lauded the PNP drug operating units for the successful anti-illegal drugs operation on Saturday evening, November 12, 2022 in Brgy, Buhay na Tubig, Imus City which yielded P251.6 million of suspected illegal drugs and arrested two big time drug peddlers.
Citing reports from Police Brigadier General Narciso D Domingo, Director, PNP Drug Enforcement Group, and Police Brigadier Melencio Nartatez, Regional Director, PRO4A, PNP Chief Azurin announced the arrest of Datu Ali Sampulna y Dayo, male, 38, jobless and Almira Sampulna y Karao, female, 30, married, online seller, both resident of Cotobato City.
The two drug suspects were arrested in a joint buy-bust operation launched by operatives of PNP Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit 4B (PDEG-SOU4B), PNP Drug Enforcement Group 4A (PDEG4A), Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit, Imus City Police Station, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 4A and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Initial investigation disclosed that suspects were caught in the act of selling more or less one (1) kilogram of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php6,800,000.00.
Another evidence confiscated on the possession and control of the suspects were one (1) white styro foam box containing more or less thirty six (36) kilograms of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of two (2) hundred forty four million eight hundred thousand pesos (244,800,000.00), (1) one piece genuine one thousand peso bill dusted with ultra violet powder placed on top of ten (10) bundle of boodle money with a total of one (1) million (1,000,000.00) pesos placed inside a plain brown paper bag; one (1) piece yellow green tickler with label limelight notebook, one (2) units cellular phone (iPhone) color white and silver, one (1) pink pouch containing assorted Identification Cards and assorted remittance receipt.
The total value of illegal drugs confiscated in the anti-illegal drug operations weight more or less 37 kilograms with total SDP of Php251,600,000.00.
Through holistic approach as the new face of anti drug prevention campaign of the government, PGen Azurin vowed that the PNP would remain relentless in its anti-illegal drug operations and in its drive to put a stop to the illegal drug trade in the country.
“Sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng bawat myembro ng kumunidad ay naniniwala akong masusugpo nating tuluyan ang iligal na droga sa bansa. At sa ilalaim ng administrasyon ng Pangulong Ferdinand R Marcos Jr ay tiwala akong sabay-sabay nating tutuldukan ang paglaganap ng bawal na gamot sa lipunan upang bigayan ng magandang buhay ang ating mga kababayang Pilipino”, PNP Chief Azurin said.
