E-BOOKING SYSTEM

PNP Launches E-booking System and Signs MoA With SM Supermalls and Citymalls for NPCS Expansion

The Philippine National Police (PNP) takes another step forward in the modernization of its processes with the launch of the PNP Digital Booking System or “E-Booking.”

With the E-Booking system, the PNP will now fully digitalize the booking process of arrested persons, making the collection and cross-matching of fingerprints through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) faster and more efficient. The system’s implementation is expected to increase the crime solution efficiency of the PNP.

During the launch of the new system this morning at Camp Crame, PNP Chief Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr expressed his gratitude to Honorable Jesus Crispin “Boying” C Remulla, Secretary of the Department of Justice, for his presence and support.

“Your presence today further solidifies the tight bond among the pillars of the criminal justice system”, PGen Azurin said.

Furthermore, the PNP has also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with SM Supermalls and Citymalls for the expansion of the National Police Clearance System (NPCS) in their respective commercial establishments.

“This collaboration will bring police services to the public at their most convenient time and location”, PNP Chief Azurin Jr said in his welcome message.

CPNP Azurin commended the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM), through the leadership of Police Major General Eliseo DC Cruz, for being one of the paragons of excellence in the organization.

He also expressed gratitude towards the management of SM Supermalls and Citymalls for their dedicated efforts in providing efficient service to all Filipinos. “This will surely strengthen the successful implementation of this endeavor, in accordance with our shared commitment of ensuring efficient service delivery to every Filipino. Ito ay isang patunay na kapag ang lahat ay nagtulong-tulong, kaligtasan ng lahat ay masisigurado”, he stated.

Meanwhile, in his message as Guest of Honor and Speaker, Secretary Remulla highlighted the importance of fostering a strong partnership between the PNP and the DOJ.

“The Department of Justice and Philippine National Police should always stand side by side, hand in hand in battling the enemies of the state especially those who commit crimes and violate our penal laws”, SOJ Remulla said.

Secretary Remulla acknowledged that both the PNP and the DOJ play vital roles in ensuring the safety and security of the Filipino people. He emphasized that their partnership could help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the criminal justice system, leading to a more just and equitable society.

He also lauded the PNP for initiating a national police clearance system without any private provider. “I give due credit to Philippine National Police for having an independent e-system that does not allow itself to be part of a “raket”, Sec Remulla further added.

Coinciding the activity, PNP also recognized and rewarded several units and personnel for their meritorious accomplishments in recent days. Among the distinguished awardees are from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the PNP Forensic Group (FG), the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), and the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD).
