PNP Deploys EOD/K9, Police Service Dogs for Maguindanao

PNP Chief Rodoldfo S Azurin Jr commended the Philippine National Police-Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Canine (PNP-EOD/K9) Group along with Search and Rescue Police Service Dogs (SAR PSDs) under the stewardship of Acting Director, Police Colonel Albert Magno on their deployment in Maguindanao, early morning of November 5, 2022.

The 12-man search and retrieval teams extend police assistance especially to the members of Teduray ethnic community in Maguindanao who have been devastatingly affected by the Tropical Storm “Paeng” which also badly hit other part of the country last weekend.

Azurin also mentioned that the PNP EOD/K9 unit were specifically tasked to help the local government of Mindanao together with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders in the search and retrieval operations conducted in the province.

“On behalf of the more than 227,000 strong police of the PNP, I thank our PNP EOD/K9 unit for continued sacrifice and dedicated effort in the name of public service”, PNP Chief Azurin said.

“I appreciate your hard work, professionalism, dedication, and commitment especially during this challenging time. Let us continuously serve as beacons of hope and vanguards of humanitarian action in the interest of national security and public safety” Azurin added.
