The PPA Port Management Office (PMO) of NCR South, through its Safety and Environmental Management Office (SEMO), turned over a captured non-venomous Python to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Wildlife Enforcement Division (DENR-WED) on 01 September 2022.
The snake was found by ICTSI security personnel inside the ICTSI Harbor Patrol dock near the breakwaters of the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).
The turn-over follows Republic Act No. 9147 or the “Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act,” which prompted the PMO to urgently coordinate the matter to DENR.
