FIRE SAFETY TRAINING

PDEA Conducts Fire Safety Training

In observance of Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A signed by then the late President Ferdinand Edralin – Marcos Sr., and Proclamation No. 360 in 1986, the month of March was declared as “FIRE PREVENTION MONTH”.

March is observed as the Fire Prevention Month to remind the public the importance of fire safety. The theme for this year 2023 observance is “SA PAG-IWAS SA SUNOG, HINDI KA NAG-IISA”, which emphasizes the importance of collective effort in preventing fires and ensuring the safety of employees and the community we serve.

In accordance with the Fire Prevention Month, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), through the initiative and leadership of Director III Maharani R. Gadaoni-Tosoc of PDEA Logistics Administrative Management Service (LAMS), conducted a fire safety training to its personnel on March 21, 2023 at the PDEA Main Conference Room, Quezon City.

Senior Fire Officer I Jojit Santiago of the Quezon City Fire District was the invited subject matter expert on the said training.
Director III Derrick Arnold C Carreon, PDEA Chief-of-Staff and concurrent Chief, Public Information Office delivered his closing message during the fire safety training.

Fire safety is a shared responsibility. Fire prevention and safety training is essential for individuals and organizations to ensure the safety of people and property. Fire incidents can happen anytime, anywhere, and without warning, causing devastating consequences. Fire safety training is a crucial investment in protecting lives, promoting a safe working environment, and mitigating the devastating effects of fire incidents.
