The Cabinet official said the plan also involves actionable strategies to develop the domestic market considering its vast potential for both foreign and local investors, a commitment mentioned by the chief executive in his meeting with global leaders at the recently concluded Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits in Phnom Penh.

“He emphasized that the plan should address the concerns of the development… of the local markets. Tama naman, ensuring that they receive the same assistance,” Balisacan pointed out.

Balisacan said this is the first time the PDP is being presented before the start of the first full year of the President.

“Ang nangyari noon is all the ships are already in the middle of the sea. They are casting their own nets na. Ngayon nandiyan. So there is now greater opportunity and for coordination ng agencies,” Balisacan pointed out.

In the plan, Balisacan expressed assurance that a framework for regular monitoring and evaluation of its implementation is also in place.

“So every year, we will provide a report to the President and how the plan is being implemented and the performance and the various metrics or targets that have [been] indicated in the plan,” added Balisacan.
