Citing a report from District Engineer Rhodora Nuñal, DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie D. Bueno explained that the road now ensures better access to markets, schools, clinics, and other commercial establishments, and provides a safer alternate route going to nearby towns and barangays.

With the road upgraded from gravel to concrete, an enhanced travel experience also awaits tourists as it serves as a gateway to popular attractions in the province such as Sun Sea Resort, Rumagangrang Beach Resort, and Yato Island.

Traversing Barangays Cabalagnan and Salvacion, the road project also improved socio-economic activities in the municipality by providing an alternate route to Cabalagnan Fish Landing, the main drop-off point for fresh seafood in Nueva Valencia.
