Department of Health (DOH) Officer-in-Charge Secretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire takes part in the 25th Commencement Exercises of the Institute of Community and Family Health – Graduate School of Public Health Class of 2021!
Joined by the institution’s officials – Chair Dr. Manuel M. Po, Executive Director and Dean Dr. Elsie Lynn Baronia-Locson, Immediate Past Director and Dean Dr. Elizabeth Porras, together with the members of the Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff, OIC Vergeire addressed 36 graduates.
With the theme “Speak Up for Public Health”, OIC Vergeire underscored the importance of protecting public health through strengthening primary care in the community. She encouraged the graduates to pursue public health, and act upon it with integrity.
“It is my hope that you see your profession as a field being devoted to the aid of others. I’m encouraging all of you to use your learning, skills, and talents to be of service to those who are in need, to those who do not have opportunity, and to those who dont have access.
Kailangan kayo ng Pilipinas. Kailangan kayo ng bawat Pilipino. Together, let us all stand up to protect public health.” said OIC Vergeire.
